His Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday\, 21 December at American Legion Post #364 in Woodbridge\, VA from 1-5pm. \nUPDATE: In August of this year\, the nation lost a leader\, we lost a brother\, a lot of us lost a friend\, the country a patriot\, a veteran and great person.  None of this compares to the loss of that his family is feeling.  Brother Toetag is being missed each day by his wife Gumby (Sarah)\, his children\, his grandkids and by us\, his brothers.  His family got to see how we\, as a Nation\, loved\, honored\, and respected Toetag at his funeral on August 20th of this year.  They didn’t get to experience how we interacted with him\, the memories that we made with him\, the lasting impression he made on us\, how we sought his leadership\, his friendship\, his brotherhood and his contagious being. \nOn December 20th\, our Great Nation will honor our brother\, David “ToeTag”\, with his interment at Arlington National Cemetery.  For those in the Eagle Nation wishing to pay their respects at ToeTag’s burial\, you will need to be at the Arlington National Cemetery Administration Building no later than 2:15PM on Friday\, 20 December to stage for the procession to the burial plot. NOTE: When approaching the guards on Memorial Drive\, show your ID and advise the guards that you are heading to the Administration Building for David Back’s interment/burial. As a reminder\, ANC is federal land and a “no-carry” policy is enforced.\nOn December 21st (1-5PM) the Virginia Brothers\, will host a Celebration of Life at the American Legion Post 364 (3640 Friendly Post Lane\, Woodbridge\, VA 22193).  This celebration will be a time to remember\, celebrate and toast our brother\, as he will be mssed\, but never forgotten.\n\nWe invite all brothers to share a memory or memories of Brother ToeTag in written form. A memory barrel will be made available to deposit these memories into at the COL.  For the brothers that are unable to attend\, we invite you to email your memory(s) to toetagmemory@outlook.com.  Emailed memories will be printed and deposited into the memory Barrel on your behalf\, these memories will be presented to Gumby\, for her and the family to read at their leisure and to learn what he meant to all of us. DESCRIPTION:18th Annual Below Zero Hero ride. Over the past 17 years with your help\, we have been able to donate over $100k to the VA Homeless Veterans program. \nI know we have several different states represented over those years and more are starting to show up for this event. This year we will again have the ride (Weather Permitting) leave from our Clubhouse and return (ride is 22 miles one way). Party and Brotherhood starts Friday night. After the ride we will move the party over to the hotel. \nThis is an event that you should be attending\, what else are you doing in January? Talk to those that have attended this and you will hear how bad ass this is. \nBrothers WE HAVE BIKES FOR YOU TO RIDE\, if you don’t want to ride just come for the brotherhood. DESCRIPTION:The Tri-State chapters of MD6\, PA2\, WVA352\, and WVA 5 are hosting a winter fun ride to raise money for the Operation God Bless America organization (OGBA).\nRide Info:\nDate: 25 Jan 2025\nTime: 1130 meet up at first location\nDonation:  We ask each person participating (rider/passenger) for $25 to go into the 50/50 pot to be pulled at the last stop.\nChapter Donation:  We also ask each chapter participating if they could please donate $100 which will be presented to the OGBA.\nLocations:  Start @ Olde Town Tavern in Frederick MD\n             2nd Stop @ The Green Frog in Martinsburg\, WV\n            3rd Stop @ The American Legion in Greencastle PA\n            last stop @ Break Away II Sports Lounge in Hagerstown MD\nWe will spend about 45 minutes at each stop to drink\, eat\, and warm up from the ride.\nTransport:  Ride your scoot (Weather Permitting) or drive your vehicle (Carpooling is preferred)\nInfo about OGBA:   About Us | Operation: God Bless America\nAll proceeds are donated to the Long-term care Veterans at the VA Medical Center in Martinsburg\, WV.\nThe money is put in a personal care account so patients can get items they need that the VA doesn’t cover: hearing aids\, glasses\, TVs\, shaving supplies\, soap\, and other personal care items.\nThe funds also go to the patient recreational fund which has supplied TVs\, Wii systems\, pool tables\, bingo machines\, a serenity garden\, refurbishing of the center’s bowling alley\, and various other items to help make the veterans know that their sacrifice was and always will be greatly appreciated.\nWe have 3 brothers who are a part of the steering committee for OGBA\, they are making a huge impact on this organization and incorporating our core values into the mission.\nPresident – Big J\nPublic Relations – Big Shorty\nMember – Big E (Elvis)\nAlong with these 3 committee members\, many of the brothers in this Tri-State area contribute in many different ways to assist the OGBA\, and their annual fundraiser ride (1 June 2025).\nLast year our great nation led the ride flying the US flag and all the Military branches’ flags.  We also controlled the traffic to allow the 1000+ bikes on the ride to safely enter and exit the highway.\nThis is an amazing organization that supports our fellow veterans. Participation in the OGBA events is the epitome of our 3 objectives\, showing our fellow Vets and Civilians what the USMVMC is all about.\nWe hope to see you all on the ride on the 25.
